OUR DONORS AND PARTNERS

GAMCOTRAP has been working with different donors to promote women’s human rights and fundamental freedoms in the Gambia since 1984. It has been in the forefront to address violence
against women and girls especially female genital mutilation, child/early/forced marriage and gender discrimination among others. Over the years the organization has been working with donors who are focusing on various aspects of our advocacy, social mobilization and grassroots activism supporting the work reaching out to different target groups across the seven regions of the Gambia.

The achievements we have made is as a result of the consistent collective support from the donors/partners who fund our advocacy work to sensitize and create awareness, as well as do policy advocacy to promote the rights of women and children of the Gambia. The work we do as grassroots activists touches on female sexuality which evokes sensitivities and resistance particularly in a highly patriarchal society like The Gambia. We are forever appreciative of the partnerships we had over the years to address harmful practices that affect the sexual and reproductive health rights of women and girls and look forward to engage with our partners/donor. The following donors and partners have contributed to where we today.
