POSITION SUMMARY
ADJOA. Hackman-Stevens, as Meal Officer, is responsible for coordinating and managing all monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) activities at GAMCOTRAP. This position ensures that programs are effectively monitored, evaluated, and documented to demonstrate impact, inform decision-making, and meet donor accountability requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitoring & Evaluation System Management
Design and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks for all programs
Develop program indicators, data collection tools, and monitoring plans
Establish and maintain data management systems and databases
Ensure data quality, accuracy, and timely collection across all programs

Data Collection & Analysis
Coordinate baseline surveys, mid-term reviews, and end-line evaluations
Conduct regular field monitoring visits to assess program implementation
Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to measure program outcomes
Identify trends, gaps, and areas for program improvement

Reporting & Documentation
Prepare comprehensive MEAL reports for management and donors
Document program results, success stories, and lessons learned
Ensure timely submission of donor reports with accurate data
Maintain a repository of program documentation and evidence

Learning & Knowledge Management

Facilitate learning sessions with program teams to review findings
Promote evidence-based programming and continuous improvement
Disseminate best practices and lessons learned across the organization
Support adaptive management based on monitoring data

Accountability & Compliance
Ensure accountability mechanisms are integrated into programs
Monitor compliance with donor requirements and organizational standards
Support program teams in implementing feedback mechanisms
Conduct regular data verification and quality assurance checks

Capacity Building
Train field staff on MEAL concepts, tools, and methodologies
Build staff capacity in data collection and reporting
Provide technical support to program teams on MEAL activities
Mentor junior staff and interns on monitoring and evaluation practices
