POSITION SUMMARY
Dr. Isatou Touray, as Executive Director, provides strategic leadership and overall management of GAMCOTRAP, ensuring the organization effectively fulfills its mission to eliminate harmful traditional practices affecting women and children. This position is responsible for organizational strategy, program oversight, financial management, stakeholder relations, and staff leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership & Governance

Develop and implement organizational strategic plans in collaboration with the Board of Directors
Ensure alignment of programs and activities with GAMCOTRAP’s mission and values
Provide regular reports to the Board on organizational performance and progress
Represent GAMCOTRAP at national and international forums

Program Management & Development
Oversee all program activities to ensure quality, impact, and compliance with objectives
Identify opportunities for program expansion and innovation
Monitor and evaluate program outcomes and impact on target communities
Ensure integration of best practices across all organizational activities

Financial & Resource Management
Ensure sound financial management and sustainability of the organization
Oversee budget development, monitoring, and reporting
Lead resource mobilization efforts and donor relationship management
Ensure compliance with donor requirements and financial regulations

Partnership & Advocacy
Build and maintain strategic partnerships with government, NGOs, donors, and community stakeholders
Lead advocacy initiatives on harmful traditional practices at local, national, and international levels
Serve as primary spokesperson for GAMCOTRAP
Strengthen GAMCOTRAP’s visibility and reputation

Human Resource Management
Provide leadership, supervision, and support to all staff members
Foster a positive, inclusive, and productive organizational culture
Ensure staff capacity building and professional development
Oversee recruitment, performance management, and retention strategies
