POSITION SUMMARY Fatou E. H. Jarra, as Senior Field Officer, leads field operations and community engagement activities to support GAMCOTRAP’s mission of eliminating harmful traditional practices. This position involves direct community mobilization, coordination of field staff, program implementation, and ensuring effective delivery of community-based interventions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Field Operations & Community Engagement
Lead and coordinate all field-based activities across target communities Conduct community sensitization sessions on harmful traditional practices Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, women’s groups, and local stakeholders Mobilize communities for behavior change initiatives
Program Implementation Implement field programs in accordance with organizational objectives and donor requirements Oversee community-based education and awareness campaigns Monitor program activities and ensure quality implementation Document program activities, challenges, and success stories
Staff Supervision & Coordination Supervise and provide technical guidance to Field Officers and interns Coordinate field team schedules and activity planning Conduct regular field visits to monitor and support team activities Facilitate team meetings and knowledge sharing sessions
Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation Collect and analyze field data on program progress and impact Prepare regular activity reports for management review Document case studies, testimonials, and community feedback Track program indicators and beneficiary data
Partnership & Representation Represent GAMCOTRAP in community meetings and local forums Collaborate with local government authorities and community-based organizations Support partnership development at the community level Participate in relevant networks and coordination meetings
