POSITION SUMMARY Fatou Secka, as Media/Field Officer, combines field operations with media and communications responsibilities to amplify GAMCOTRAP’s message and document program impact. This dual role involves implementing community programs while capturing stories, creating content, and managing communication activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Media & Communications Develop and produce multimedia content (stories, photos, videos) from the field Manage GAMCOTRAP’s social media platforms and online presence Draft press releases, articles, and communication materials Document program activities and success stories for internal and external audiences Coordinate media coverage and interviews for organizational events
Field Operations Conduct community sensitization sessions on harmful traditional practices Implement field-based awareness and education programs Engage with communities, women’s groups, and local stakeholders Support community mobilization and behavior change initiatives
Content Creation & Documentation Capture high-quality photos and videos of program activities Interview beneficiaries and community members for case studies Create compelling stories that highlight program impact Maintain an organized archive of multimedia materials
Digital & Traditional Media Management Update and maintain GAMCOTRAP’s website and digital platforms Coordinate radio programs and community broadcasts Develop IEC materials and communication campaigns Monitor media coverage and public perception of organizational work
Reporting & Coordination Prepare field activity reports with multimedia documentation Submit regular media and communications updates Collaborate with program teams to ensure consistent messaging Support resource mobilization through compelling storytelling
