Today marks a very important day as we engage in commemorating The 16 Days of Activism campaign which calls for action against one of the world’s most persistent violations of human rights – violence against women and girls. The 16 days begins with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and ends with International Human Rights Day on 10 December–

GAMCOTRAP launched the provision of milling machines to former circumcisers in the six districts of Niumi in the North Bank Region on aturday, 16 November 2024. The milling machines, provided by UNFPA’s Country program as well as Donor Direct Action (Frontline women), were aunched to end FGM at an event held in Madina Kanuma village.

Over the past few months, it has been an exceptionally tumultuous and challenging period for Human Rights Defenders, Stakeholders, and the International Community. GAMCOTRAP would like to take this opportunity to convey its heartfelt appreciation for the outcome of this significant struggle to secure the human rights of women and girls, including their sexual and reproductive health, rights to health, bodily autonomy, dignity and integrity.
